New Accreditation Standards for CHATS
CHATS is pleased to announce that we have received Three-Year Accreditation with CARF. This is the highest level of accreditation awarded by this international standards organization. In order to achieve this level, CHATS went through a rigorous peer review process and was able to demonstrate to a team of surveyors, its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.
CARF accreditation is indicative of CHATS’ commitment to excellence and dedication to improving the quality of life for our clients and caregivers. For more information about the accreditation process, please visit the CARF website at www.carf.org.
Extended Hours at four of CHATS' Adult Day Program Locations
Effective February 5th, 2018 CHATS is pleased to announce the enhancement of services at four of our six Adult Day Program locations.
CHATS’ Adult Day Programs provide the client with stimulating activities delivered by highly trained staff and an opportunity for caregiver to receive support for respite services. Respite services can give family/friend caregivers temporary relief from the emotional and physical demands of caring for a friend or family member, and provide an opportunity to participate in community activities.
Through funding received from the Central LHIN we are now offering extended operational hours in our Aurora, Bradford, Richmond Hill and Woodbridge locations.
Client Experience Survey Action Plans - March 7th, 2018
In the Fall, we shared the results of our Spring 2017 Client Experience Survey. We shared that overall, clients were satisfied with the services provided by CHATS. We also shared the areas in which you identified, there were opportunities to do better.
Your feedback went back to our teams for discussion and action planning. Each team was tasked with identifying 1-2 areas of improvement that they would focus on, during the remainder of this year.
Grand Opening of CHATS' Senior Technology Lab - January 19, 2018
This new facility, located within our Aurora Adult Day Program, was made possible through funds received from the federal New Horizon’s for Seniors Program. Our Senior's Technology Lab will utilize technology to improve the lives of local seniors by teaching them digital literacy, creating a feeling of connectedness and lessening isolation.'
