Keeping you safe and sound at home
Home Adaptation & Maintenance Program
The Home Adaptation and Maintenance Program is based out of the CHATS’ Rural Office in Bradford, Ontario, and has helped over 2,100 clients in Northern York Region and South Simcoe age safely in their own homes.
Hoarding & De-cluttering
The Hoarding and De-cluttering Program seeks to aid York Region older adults (aged 55-plus or those with an age related condition) with low to moderate income, who are living in poor environmental conditions, and are at risk of losing their tenancy.
When you experience a fall, medical issue, or other emergency, every second counts. If you are alone, delayed medical care can jeopardize your recovery and your medical independence. The Philips Lifeline Medical Alert Service provides simple, fast access to help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Newly rebranded to include CHATS' Telephone Reassurance, Virtual Visiting and Friendly Visiting programs these services provide older adults with regular security checks by CHATS’ volunteers. Regular contact promotes safety and security.
Vulnerable Persons Registry
The Vulnerable Persons Registry (VPR) is a free and voluntary community based initiative that provides local policing services with quick access to critical information on vulnerable persons in the community.
