Volunteer Opportunities

Office Volunteer, Service Coordination

• Providing administrative support for coordination of services
• Calling senior clients to update database details
• Few hours/week, flexible days/times
• Aurora office location

Meals on Wheels—Newmarket, Aurora 

• Approximately 2 hours/week, Tuesday  deliveries
• Mileage reimbursed at .50/km

Volunteer Transportation Drivers
• Support seniors to attend medical appointment and grocery shopping
• Monday to Friday  8:30am to 4:30pm
• Flexible schedule—work around your commitments
• Volunteers use their own vehicle
• Mileage will be reimbursed at $0.50/km
• Positions available throughout York Region and South Simcoe

Richmond Hill Lunch out volunteer drivers
• Pick up seniors and take them to and from lunch program
• 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month in the Richmond Hill area.
• Pick up at 11:30 and drop off at 1:30 pm
• Mileage reimbursed at .50/km, join the lunch if you choose

Adult Day Program—Bradford
• Volunteers required to assist with facilitation of social/recreational program for seniors
• Support wellness activities, serving and cleaning up for lunch
• Various days/shift available

Adult Day Program Volunteers—Richmond Hill
• Volunteers required to assist with facilitation of social/recreational program for seniors
• Support wellness activities, serving and cleaning up for lunch
• Various days available, 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Adult Day Program Newcomer Seniors-Richmond Hill
• Volunteers required to assist with facilitation of social/recreational program for seniors
• Support wellness activities, serving and cleaning up for lunch
• Additional language is an asset (South Asian)
• Monday’s available, 9:30 am – 2:00 pm


Friuli Terrace Adult Day Program – Woodbridge

• Volunteers assist with settling in small group activities, serving coffee, lunch and other recreational/social activities

• Italian speaking volunteers an asset
• Tuesday, Friday opportunities

Richmond Hill --Dunlop Street Lunch Out Volunteers

• Assistance in the kitchen required preparing seniors lunch
• Every 3rd Wednesday of each month, 11-2 pm.

Chinese Seniors Wellness Program Volunteers

• Drivers and program help required for weekly program for Cantonese speaking seniors
•  In Markham, 9:45 am - 1:00 pm every Wednesday to take seniors to Dim sum.
• Mileage reimbursed at .50/km

Seniors Wellness Program Volunteers

• Woodbridge—2nd and 4th Thursday of each month
• Volunteers use their own vehicles to pick up seniors and bring them to social recreational program
• Chancellor Community Centre—350 Ansley Grove
• Mileage reimbursed at .50 / km
