Meet our Chief Executive Officer: Christina Bisanz
As Chief Executive Officer of CHATS – Community & Home Assistance to Seniors, Christina has the pleasure of working with over 800 staff and volunteers, supporting the health and well-being of seniors and caregivers in York Region and South Simcoe.
Christina is an acclaimed public affairs professional and community advocate whose career has included an impressive range of accomplishments that have benefited numerous stakeholder groups and industry sectors. Her unique combination of association leadership positions has contributed to her skills and strength in issues management, government and stakeholder relations, public policy and communications. Christina has served as CEO of the Ontario Long Term Care Association, President and CEO of the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores and the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management, Executive Director of the Consumers Council of Canada and the Ontario Association of Police Services Boards, and as Vice President of PCAS Inc., an innovative healthcare technology company, and with Food and Consumer Products Canada.
Christina has operated an independent consulting company NiceWorks, providing strategic advice in government relations, stakeholder management and business development opportunities to clients in both the private and not-for-profit sectors.
Christina’s volunteer activities have also spanned numerous community and business associations, including Board Chair with CHATS. Currently, she serves on the Boards of CARP’s Newmarket-Aurora chapter, the Glenway Preservation Association, and Advertising Standards Canada. She is a member of the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce’s Prosperity Steering Committee, the Government Relations Committee for the Canadian Society of Association Executives, and is a volunteer with Belinda’s Place Foundation, dedicated to building a shelter for homeless single women in York Region.
Christina graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree.
